I think this was taken while I was posing for a different photographer in Times Square NYC. I thought it looked amazing! Photo credits: Eduardo Suarez.
I was there to take part in this fantastic cosplay video
and was so happy to be a part of it!
Walking around in cosplay in Times Square was surreal. Many, many people not only recognized my costume but talked about how much they loved the series, and were overjoyed to get a photo of/with me. I don't doubt that if Sailor Moon was re-licensed in the states, it would be more popular than ever before.. so many people still love and support this series. I knew Sailor Moon had serious staying power since I've been part of the online community for many many years, but seeing how regular people in Times Square, far from the convention area, responded so positively to my cosplay reaffirmed it more than ever ;_;
It was also a little embarrassing.. I accidentally stood on a Subway grate and pulled a Marilyn Monroe in front of a crowd >_> Oh well...
